Supervise traffic control operations for road and highway construction projects, ensuring safety and compliance with traffic control plans and MUTCD guidelines. Coordinate with teams, manage equipment, and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations related to traffic control in road and highway construction projects
- Set up and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones using traffic control devices
- Supervise teams as they install and collect traffic control equipment
- Monitor road repairs and ensure proper traffic flow and safety at construction sites
- Coordinate and inspect traffic control set-ups for conformance with approved plans, MUTCD guidelines, and local entity requirements
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
- Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers and work zones
- Communicate effectively with employees, customers, and for maintenance schedules
- Maintain accurate and timely Pre-Trip and Post Trip Inspection Paperwork
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- 2+ years of Traffic Control Supervision experience
- Current TCS Certificate (CCA or ATSSA certification)
- Experience in construction site traffic control
- Valid State of Residence Driver’s License
- Ability to pass criminal and MVR background checks
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Willingness to travel (Per Diem will be paid)
- Pass medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Proficient in traffic control and using traffic control program
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or a related discipline, or the equivalent education and /or experience
- 2+ years of Traffic Control Supervision experience
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the construction industry or the utility distribution industry
- Knowledge of quality inspection and control procedures
- Background in construction management and/or Project management experience
