Tower Operator (Cheese, Days)

About This Role

Operate and maintain cheese towers and related equipment to ensure proper production and quality of cheese products. This role requires active participation in training and adherence to strict safety and food safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct operation and follow all procedures of assigned equipment
• Identify flows from HCV’s to packaging, including completing Product Transitions
• Troubleshoot and communicate any plant issues with related equipment and/or process
• Understand and maintain the operation and sanitation of all equipment, including CIP and COP systems
• Perform all in-process sampling as assigned
• Notify management/maintenance of problems with equipment or processes affecting safety, food safety, or quality
• Learn and operate computer-related processes and controls
• Responsible for proper product safe handling and reforming procedures
• Actively participate in training and development programs
• Coach and train teammates and participate in on-the-job, buddy training
• Prioritize food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s policies
• Prioritize safety above all other job duties

Requirements

• Proficient English skills (understand, read, write, and speak)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs

Qualifications

• Entry level position, no specific years of experience mentioned beyond general ability to learn.

Nice to Have

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• SAP experience
• Dairy manufacturing experience
