The Tool & Die Maker will build, repair, and maintain stamping dies and tooling for a metal stamping and fabrication partner. This role ensures optimal performance of equipment and supports manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities
- Build, repair, and maintain stamping dies and tooling
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings
- Set up and operate machinery such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, and CNC machinery
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure equipment performs at optimal levels
- Work closely with production teams to support manufacturing activities
- Maintain tool quality and implement improvements for operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proficiency in toolmaking, die maintenance, and experience working with stamping dies
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings
- Experience with operating machining equipment such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, and CNC machinery
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and precision measurement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when necessary
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
Nice to Have
- Journeyman certification in Tool & Die Making or equivalent experience
- Previous manufacturing experience in industries such as automotive, defense, or energy
