About This Role

This role involves assessing and facilitating patient care, participating in treatment and continuing care planning, and providing case management for assigned patients. The Therapist will conduct individual, family, specialized, and group psychotherapy.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, coordinate, and plan discharge for assigned patients
  • Meet with patients to orient them to the therapist role and explain treatment goals
  • Initiate contact with family members and outpatient providers, with signed release, to develop and implement care plans
  • Document all activities related to assessment, treatment, and discharge planning
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy for assigned patients
  • Document therapy sessions in the medical record
  • Seek clinical supervision and support when complications arise in therapeutic settings
  • Facilitate specialized interventions when needed
  • Provide specialized therapy services including Family, Equine, Art, EMDR, and SE as assigned
  • Assist in compiling materials for group and educational sessions
  • Conduct assigned components of the program schedule and maintain group therapy/education schedule
  • Complete syllabus or lesson plan for didactic groups and document as required
  • Participate in program development and performance improvement measures in social services
  • Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Communicate clinical concerns and treatment recommendations with the team
  • Actively participate in performance improvement activities
  • Provide on-call services as requested/assigned

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
  • State licensed (Therapist or Psychologist, if doctorate in Psychology)
  • CPR & First Aid Certified
  • CPI Certified
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to interact and communicate professionally and appropriately
  • Ability to effectively respond to customer requests
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, in a clinically accurate and professional manner
  • Ability to inform patients and families of clinical program policies
  • Ability to work as a member of a team

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
  • Entry level with a preference for two years experience in the behavioral health field.

Nice to Have

  • Minimum of two years experience in behavioral health field
  • Experience working with specialty services (Trauma, Chemical Dependency, Eating Disorders) within a managed care environment
  • Two years experience providing Family Therapy, EMDR, sex addiction or other trauma specialist if assigned to conduct specialized therapy

Certifications

CPR certified (Required) First aid certified (Required) CPI Certified (Required)
