About This Role

This role is responsible for leading the operations of a regional business unit, overseeing all aspects of business performance including P&L, strategic direction, and team coordination. The Technical Director will ensure alignment with company objectives and drive continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for assigned business units
  • Develop and maintain operational business plans including labor hours, production costs, cycle times, and program requirements
  • Contribute to business strategy development and support R&D initiatives for new products/services
  • Analyze and prepare financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and forecasts
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards, cost controls, and delivery timelines
  • Support the development of comprehensive process plans (personnel, materials, subcontractors, tooling, facilities, equipment)
  • Ensure achievement of all cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Review operational reports and lead issue resolution to minimize costs and avoid delays
  • Perform administrative tasks to support efficient operations, including compiling and analyzing production data
  • Define team responsibilities and align organizational structure to meet business objectives
  • Lead, train, and ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements across assigned teams
  • Manage regional business operations with full accountability for performance
  • Provide strategic direction, coordination, and evaluation of teams and projects
  • Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations, recognize achievements, and implement disciplinary measures
  • Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, technical services, or automotive industry
  • Proven track record in team leadership
  • Proven track record in business operations
  • Proven track record in process improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.B.A., B.A., B.S.) in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, technical services, or a related industry
