Teacher - English Language Development

About This Role

The English Language Development Teacher will implement effective teaching methods to ensure student success and foster achievement for all students in Adams 12 Five Star Schools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
• Create positive educational climate for students
• Meet course and school-wide student performance goals
• Participate in ongoing training sessions
• Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year
• Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed
• Read and stay abreast of current topics in education
• Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Prepare and distribute parent communications
• Observe and evaluate student's performance
• Manage student behavior in the classroom

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years old
• Criminal background check required
• Colorado Educator License or in process within 30 days of hire
• Required license and endorsement for English Language Development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
