Teacher, Elementary - Bilingual Spanish, 4th-5th Grade

About This Role

The ELA-S teacher provides high-quality, differentiated instruction to Spanish-speaking students in 4th-5th grade. This role focuses on English language acquisition while supporting academic achievement across subjects in an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, differentiated instruction to students whose primary language is Spanish.
• Foster English language acquisition while supporting academic achievement across subjects.
• Monitor, supervise, coordinate and enforce rules of conduct and behavior for students.
• Observe, evaluate, report and record students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
• Communicate with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators regarding student issues.
• Prepare educational course outlines, objectives and materials according to curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements.
• Present subject matter to students, using various teaching methods and technology, adjusting teaching style to meet student learning style.
• May participate in extra-duty activities like coaching, tutoring, or summer programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
