Tax Intern

About This Role

As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in public accounting, specifically in tax, working on client engagements and developing technical skills alongside senior staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
• Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
• Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

Requirements

• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Effective time management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
• Problem-solving attitude
• Willingness to take initiative
• Close attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
• Be working toward CPA Exam eligibility
• Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned office and able to attend off-site meetings and events in person

Nice to Have

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
