The Tax Associate will prepare tax returns and working papers for clients, collaborating with team members to deliver tax services. This role involves monitoring tax law changes and ensuring compliance for various entities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advise management on potential impacts and implement necessary adjustments
- Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for external auditors during tax audits
- Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance and reporting
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records, ensuring easy retrieval for internal and external purposes
Requirements
- Experience in federal and multi-state returns
- Min of 1 year experience
- Experience in tax preparation
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (CCH ProSystem FX)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus
- Minimum of 1 year experience in tax preparation
