About This Role

The Tax Analyst will be responsible for indirect and direct tax compliance projects, collaborating with the Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Manager, internal professionals, and external tax service providers. This role requires hands-on support for indirect tax and unclaimed property requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the processing of data for Sales & Use Tax filings throughout North America
  • Work with external tax service providers for timely filing of various tax filings (e.g., capital, property tax, sales & use, excise)
  • Prepare some tax filings internally
  • Ensure accuracy of information for business registrations and annual reports with the legal department
  • Manage data collection for Unclaimed Property compliance filings annually
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure data and process compliance with local unclaimed property regulations
  • Automate and standardize unclaimed property processes where applicable
  • Process and file applicable Unclaimed Property reports
  • Assist the team in calculating Fixed Assets, Unicap, Transfer Pricing, and Research and Development for federal and state tax compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Accounting
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in public tax accounting
  • Hands-on, self-motivated individual with ability to create or improve processes and documentation
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on Excel and Word

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Accounting, preferably with a concentration in tax
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in public tax accounting
