About This Role

This Systems Integrator role is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of technical projects for clients, including installation and configuration of IT infrastructure, mentoring junior staff, and providing technical design recommendations. The position involves interfacing with a variety of environments and technologies while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all explicit and implicit project work assigned in a timely manner
  • Install and configure Windows Servers, peripherals, network devices, and storage devices according to standards
  • Develop, document, and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Communicate regularly with clients on project statuses, changes, and outages
  • Mentor other technical staff to foster professional growth and knowledge dissemination
  • Provide technical design recommendations to the vCIO team for proper project scope and IT best-practices

Requirements

  • Solid experience with Windows and Mac OS desktop operating systems
  • Experience deploying and building Windows servers (troubleshooting, supporting, and implementing) including Exchange Server 2010-2019 and Office 365
  • Knowledge and understanding of mail flow troubleshooting
  • Experience with VPN remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 stack, including Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Knowledge of firewalls, networking/routing (switches, routers, etc.), and wireless configurations
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing and managing Windows Operating Systems, Office 365 mail management and migrations, Office 365 SharePoint deployments, SAN iSCSI Storage Systems, VMware vCenter and Hyper-V, Cisco, HP and Sonicwall networking equipment
  • Previous experience providing both onsite and remote/phone support in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Previous experience executing medium to large scale IT projects (e.g., Email migrations, infrastructure refreshes)
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving, planning skills, and follow-through

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience as Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, System Engineer, or Tier 2 support

Nice to Have

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology
  • Understanding of, and background in, IT managed services provider business model (particularly IT support role)
  • Experience with ConnectWise, Kaseya, or other similar MSP tools and software
  • Professional IT Certifications (e.g., MTA, MCSA, MCSE, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet NSE, VMware VCP)
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure and other Cloud service offerings
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more service catalog product lines
