Administer and optimize the LogicMonitor platform and contribute to observability initiatives for hybrid and cloud environments. This role requires strong hands-on experience with LogicMonitor and will partner with infrastructure and application teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize the LogicMonitor platform, including collectors, dashboards, alerts, and reporting
- Configure monitoring for servers, network devices, cloud platforms, and applications using standard and custom data sources
- Maintain alert thresholds, escalation policies, and notification workflows to ensure timely issue resolution
- Partner with infrastructure, application, network, and security teams to validate monitoring coverage
- Ensure performance, availability, and health metrics are accurately tracked and aligned with business needs
- Automate monitoring tasks and alerting workflows using scripting (PowerShell, Groovy, Bash) and LogicMonitor APIs
- Configure and manage third-party integrations and vendor monitoring modules (e.g., ServiceNow Service Graph Connector, VMware, Dell)
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for both technical and business stakeholders
- Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for performance and reliability improvements
- Track monitoring-related work and enhancements within ServiceNow
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in system administration, monitoring, or observability roles
- Strong hands-on experience administering LogicMonitor
- Solid understanding of observability concepts across hybrid and cloud environments
- Experience monitoring infrastructure, networks, cloud resources, and applications
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Groovy, or Bash
- Experience integrating monitoring tools with ServiceNow
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in system administration, monitoring, or observability roles
Nice to Have
- Experience with vendor and platform integrations (VMware, Dell, cloud providers)
- Background supporting enterprise or financial services environments
- Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes
