This role will provide swim instruction to participants, focusing on building positive relationships and offering motivational support and guidance. The instructor will educate on basic swimming skills and stroke techniques, inspiring confidence in students.
Responsibilities
- Instruct swim lessons as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly
- Develop positive relationships with participants while providing motivational support and guidance
- Encourage member and parent involvement
- Convey basic program and schedule information as necessary
- Maintain progress reports and attendance records as required
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Strong ability to swim
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to instruct participants on swimming skills and stroke techniques
