This Senior Vice President of Financial Planning will lead the financial strategy, innovation, and impact for Somatus, a leading value-based kidney care company. This role involves steering Corporate FP&A and operational finance, driving smarter decisions, and positioning the company for growth and a future IPO.
Responsibilities
- Lead performance management tied to key metrics and business drivers that inform strategic decisions
- Deliver timely, reliable financial analysis and performance metrics to executive and senior leadership and the Board, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning
- Manage the enterprise budget process and consolidate brand-level budgets into a unified financial plan
- Streamline systems and processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Support capital raising by preparing due diligence materials and presenting data in a clear and compelling way that supports the company’s narrative
- Develop long-term financial strategies to position the company for a successful IPO
- Collaborate with Actuary and MedEcon to structure pricing and contract terms for profitability
- Improve data alignment and reconciliation to enhance contract and member performance
- Use analytics to identify healthcare cost trends and drivers
- Partner with teams to evaluate initiatives addressing cost trends and design provider incentives
Requirements
- 10+ years progressive accounting or finance experience
- Ability to lead in rapidly evolving environments or scaling public companies
- MBA
- CPA certification or equivalent strongly preferred
- Previous experience working for a publicly listed organization or within an audit firm (Big 4 or similar)
- Strong knowledge of private and public company reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Strong experience with cloud-based accounting platforms, ideally with a background in system implementation
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
Qualifications
- MBA
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with demonstrated ability to lead in rapidly evolving environments or scaling public companies
