Surgical Laser Technician

About This Role

This role is for a Surgical Laser Technician who will be responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining surgical equipment during and after medical procedures. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring medical equipment is ready for effective patient care within hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Test, clean, and sterilize equipment in the operating room prior to procedures
• Be present in the operating room during procedures, with involvement subject to physician demands
• Remove, clean, disinfect, and sterilize all surgical equipment after procedures
• Ensure operational excellence of all vehicles and equipment by communicating defects or necessary maintenance to key stakeholders
• Transport equipment to ensure it is in the right place at the right time for necessary procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license
• Safe driving record based on Agiliti policies
• Ability to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds
• Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to bend and reach repeatedly
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Entry level with preferred prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience
