This role manages supplier engagement and ensures hardware order coverage for future demand within a commodity. It involves leading negotiations, triaging supplier issues, and collaborating cross-functionally to execute procurement activities.
Responsibilities
- Progress activities of supplier selection, proposals, quotes, analysis, negotiation, and contract authoring for non-LTA parts
- Accountable for strategic decision-making related to supplier order health for assigned accounts
- Partner with supplier team and procurement operations to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Triage incoming supplier questions, issues, and requests for assigned supplier accounts
- Lead projects related to part procurement or technical changes requiring supplier engagement and support
- Maintain market awareness and an in-depth understanding of key business drivers for supplier selection
- Participate in ideation of contractual solutions to promote contract performance and total cost of ownership
- Utilize technical knowledge, collaboration, and judgment to solve problems
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, providing coaching and training
- Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/ Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain or Contract Management roles
- Ability to prove status of U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee, or refugee status)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/ Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain or Contract Management roles)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/ Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain or Contract Management roles
