Supervise the efficient night warehouse operations, including manpower utilization, standard operating procedures adherence, and training, for a food and beverage service company. This role involves managing associates, ensuring safety, and optimizing productivity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily processes on the dock and in coolers
- Review, coach, and develop outbound associates
- Monitor work, adherence to policy and safety requirements
- Issue discipline when necessary
- Interpret company policies for employees, enforce safety and security regulations, and hold daily pre-shift meetings
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget
- Prepare work schedules
- Perform substitution of items that are not available for selection
- Communicate to sales, purchasing, and inventory control
- Spot check orders for accuracy and quality
- Pull critical care orders or double-check them for quality and accuracy
- Inspect material handling equipment daily for safe operations and coordinate required repairs with the maintenance department
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of operations/warehouse experience in shipping and receiving perishable products
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and train hourly employees
- Ability to solve problems independently and effectively communicate information
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-year operations/warehouse experience in shipping and receiving perishable products, and/or a combination of education, and industry experience.
