Supervise and direct security operations to ensure a safe and secure experience at Petco Park, leading a team of security officers and coordinating incident responses.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily security operations, including supervising 24/7 staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage.
- Conduct daily shift briefings to prepare assigned officers and disseminate necessary information and training.
- Monitor Avigilon surveillance systems and coordinate incident responses.
- Ensure security officers are trained to utilize Raven Controls Incident Management Software for accurate logging and reporting.
- Maintain accurate incident logs, investigation reports, and security audits, providing regular updates to management.
- Supervise and professionally manage escalated issues involving patrons, VIPs, and staff.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security protocols, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations (BSIS).
- Coordinate Ballpark Security support for events (games, concerts) and liaise with law enforcement and emergency services.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of security staff, contractors, and explosive detection canines.
- Implement emergency action plans for fire, medical, and active threat scenarios, assisting with drills and post-incident evaluations.
Requirements
- Experience in supervising on-site security teams and command center operations
- Familiarity with the Incident Command System (ICS) and emergency protocols
- Familiarity with Avigilon systems (CCTV, key card access, metal detectors, radio communications)
- Experience with security management software and digital log/reporting tools
- Ability to lead evacuations and coordinate with first responders during crises
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities in a 24/7 operational environment
- Knowledge of training programs, certification requirements, and use-of-force policies
- Experience supervising performance, discipline, and morale in high-stress settings
- General ability in technology and a variety of different types of applications
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience, or higher
- Experience in supervising on-site security teams and command center operations
