Summer Intern – Engineering

About This Role

This internship offers students the opportunity to work on projects with real impact on sustainability within the waste management and renewable energy sectors. Interns will partner with project managers to participate in various engineering projects, gaining hands-on experience in one of the company's facilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project manager(s) to participate in safety, environmental, operational, mechanical, or boiler project(s)
• Troubleshoot and make suggestions for improvements in projects
• Identify reasons and provide solutions for Boiler Fouling (choked up - ash build up)
• Control fouling, air flows, and cleaning processes
• Analyze breaker performance and testing, generator performance, power needs and production
• Ensure environmental compliance through water testing, sampling, and reporting
• Demonstrate support for Reworld Values and Behaviors, including a Safe and Inclusive Workplace and Building Breakthrough Capabilities
• Present project outcome and recommendations for improvement at the end of the internship

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering Bachelor’s Degree program
• Junior or Senior standing in degree program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree program in Engineering
