Summer Camp Sports Instructor

About This Role

This role involves supervising and engaging children ages 2-15 in a summer camp setting, ensuring their safety and participation in various activities like sports and arts & crafts, while delivering excellent customer service to parents.

Responsibilities

• Organize campers aged 2 to 15 years old for activities
• Provide a safe and clean environment, including cleaning up after activities
• Ensure all campers are supervised and engaged at all times, with a focus on older, shy, or bored children
• Complete all opening and closing operations checklists
• Greet parents and children, inviting children to join activities
• Organize and implement age-appropriate activities such as sports scrimmages, arts & crafts, and group games
• Transfer campers to and from activities within the club
• Treat children with responsive respectfulness, coaching rather than scolding
• Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
• Actively participate in events, programs, meetings, training, and camp marketing events
• Represent the club professionally through image, dress, communication, and follow-through
• Communicate important information to parents in a detailed and professional manner

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of experience caring for children in daycare or Camp environment
• Professional, friendly manner
• Excellent customer service attitude and abilities
• Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
• Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
• Self-motivated, takes initiative
• Willingness to acquire new skills
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Computer literate
• CPR certification

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience caring for children in daycare or Camp environment
