This role involves investigative work in the field, office, and lab to determine the root cause of failures related to building structural elements and envelopes. The Structural Forensic Engineer will apply engineering principles and conduct technical research to write comprehensive reports explaining complex issues to a lay audience.
Responsibilities
- Complete hands-on failure analysis assignments in the field and testing facility
- Document facts and report finalization of findings
- Conduct technical research
- Apply theories and knowledge to real-world situations
- Complete assignments on time as requested by client
- Conduct ethical practices consistently
- Convey complex issues in an understandable manner to a lay audience through report writing
Requirements
- Master's in civil engineering
- 5 years supervisory or project management experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Valid Driver's License in good standing
- Ability to pass a background check
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship
