The Streets III Winter Seasonal Snow Removal position is responsible for removing snow across the city to enhance community safety during the winter season.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of specialized equipment including front-end loaders, trucks, de-icing equipment, snow hauling equipment, plowing equipment, sweeping and cleaning streets in a safe, courteous, and professional manner
- Assist with asphalt paving/patching, striping/traffic markings
- Install signposts, street signs, check for maintenance, and replace broken signs as needed
- Place temporary traffic control devices including barricades, lane cones, and warning signs to channel traffic
Requirements
- Over the age of 18
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Utah Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of heavy/snow removal equipment operation
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment
- Ability to work alone and make sound decisions
