Streets III - Winter Seasonal

About This Role

The Streets III Winter Seasonal Snow Removal position is responsible for removing snow across the city to enhance community safety during the winter season.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of specialized equipment including front-end loaders, trucks, de-icing equipment, snow hauling equipment, plowing equipment, sweeping and cleaning streets in a safe, courteous, and professional manner
• Assist with asphalt paving/patching, striping/traffic markings
• Install signposts, street signs, check for maintenance, and replace broken signs as needed
• Place temporary traffic control devices including barricades, lane cones, and warning signs to channel traffic

Requirements

• Over the age of 18
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Utah Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of heavy/snow removal equipment operation
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment
• Ability to work alone and make sound decisions
