About This Role

The Storeroom Team Leader assists leadership with coordinating work assignments, training others on storeroom operations, and handling customer issues at a customer's location. This role involves performing all duties of those they train while ensuring adherence to operating policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level customer service via phone, email or in person
  • Coordinate and perform work involving ordering, receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, binning, packing, labeling, pricing, delivering, and maintaining inventory
  • Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure effective team resource utilization and met work schedules/targets
  • Enter data into a database or computerized system to maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records
  • Assist with monitoring handling procedure effectiveness and space utilization, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Train, mentor, and monitor others on storeroom operations, material handling, tool usage, and addressing customer issues
  • Assist with ensuring the safe operation of the storeroom

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated product, industry and supply chain systems knowledge
  • Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills
  • Quality mindset with attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
  • Proficiency with MS-Office products (Excel, Word)
  • Technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications
  • Ability to work independently

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of related experience including product, industry and supply chain systems knowledge
