About This Role

The Storeroom Coordinator supports the facility’s supply chain by overseeing daily storeroom functions, including receiving, stocking, distributing, and tracking inventory. This role maintains accurate records, ensures timely replenishment of critical supplies, and supports clinical and non-clinical departments efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming supplies and verify packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Organize and stock inventory in designated storage areas following FIFO and infection control protocols
  • Fulfill and deliver supply orders to clinical and administrative departments as requested
  • Track inventory usage, assist with reorders, and maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
  • Ensure storeroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Use inventory management systems to document transactions and track supplies
  • Coordinate returns, backorders, and damaged goods with vendors and procurement staff
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and audits for reconciliation purposes
  • Provide support during emergency events to ensure rapid supply distribution
  • May train or direct other storeroom staff in daily activities and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain operations
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and materials handling practices
  • Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other storeroom equipment safely
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, inventory systems)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain operations

Nice to Have

  • Certification in supply chain management or materials handling
  • Healthcare supply chain experience
  • Familiarity with medical supplies, equipment, and supply chain procedures
