Store Leader Trainee

About This Role

This Store Leader Trainee role is responsible for executing merchandising and marketing initiatives, driving profitability, and developing the store team to ensure excellent customer service. This position is part of the store's leadership team and focuses on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity
• Oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs
• Use P&L and store reports to affect change
• Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of loyalty programs
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures
• Ensure the store is presentable and all products are in-stock

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience
• Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching
• Desire to maintain high retention through employee development
• Ability to oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs
• Demonstrated ability to use P&L and store reports
• Ability to manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and loyalty programs
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred)
• Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred
• At least one year of retail management experience
