Steam Turbine Application Engineer

About This Role

Act as an application engineer focused on pre-contract problem-solving for steam turbine systems, analyzing customer steam systems and heat balances to recommend optimizations. Prepare cost and benefit analyses, and formal proposals for solutions to reduce carbon footprints and improve cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Gain specific knowledge of the company's product line and capabilities to accurately quote projects.
• Create detailed work schedules for planning and communicating with customers.
• Accurately estimate equipment for a given product line.
• Prepare work by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents for estimation.
• Identify engineering time, labor time, and material requirements by studying documentation.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and engineering requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and conversing with vendors and colleagues.
• Read and interpret all Terms and Conditions and Contracts to ensure acceptable agreements.
