Staff Nurse RN - ED

About This Role

This Staff Nurse RN position in the Emergency Department involves providing and managing emergency patient care through the nursing process, supervising personnel, and coordinating interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage emergency patient care
• Implement the nursing process
• Delegate to and supervise licensed and unlicensed personnel
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care

Requirements

• Current active California Registered Nurse license
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card
• AHA ACLS certification
• AHA PALS or ENPC certification
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification prior to completing department orientation
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) with 4-months of hire / transfer into the Emergency Department
• Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
• Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Able to effectively manage, prioritize, and delegate patient care
• Able to complete work assignments
• Demonstrate knowledge of common disease processes, treatment modalities and interventions
• Above average computer skills

Qualifications

• None Required. Preferred one year recent Emergency Department experience.
