Sr. Security Engineer (PAM/IAM with CyberArk)

About This Role

Serve as a Senior Security Engineer responsible for engineering, designing, implementing, and maintaining various security solutions for both cloud and on-premise environments, with a focus on PAM/IAM using CyberArk.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, implement, maintain, monitor, analyze, and administer the Company’s security solutions and security events
• Establish and automate procedures for routine day-to-day security tasks
• Serve as the project security lead and a subject-matter expert in Information Security
• Develop and maintain a robust security technology strategy for cloud and datacenter environments
• Recommend, implement, configure, and maintain technical security solutions for on-prem and cloud-based assets
• Perform vulnerability assessments, security controls checks, and reporting
• Identify and define security requirements with Project and Development teams
• Manage current security threats and solutions for public cloud and on-prem environments
• Manage network control systems/equipment, network diagrams, and firewall configurations
• Participate in security incident response through in-depth, technical analysis
• Manage standard operating procedures and protocols
• Manage security-related initiatives as they arise

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer
• Experience securing multiple public cloud environments
• Excellent understanding/working knowledge of AWS public cloud infrastructure and services (IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, S3, RDS, Route53, Lambda, AWS Config)
• Experience with CyberArk identity and access management solutions (implementing, managing, troubleshooting password and privileged access management)
• Ability to actively assess existing cloud implementations, identify security issues, and prioritize fixes
• Ability to engineer and implement public cloud security tools and techniques
• Direct experience with engineering, deploying, managing, and supporting security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, vulnerability scanning tools)
• Direct experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
• Familiarity with web-related technologies (web applications, web services, service-oriented architectures, network/web-related protocols)
• Direct experience performing security incident response
• Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and tooling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience or 7 years of demonstrable progressive work in the information security field as a system security engineer or information security engineer

Nice to Have

• Experience working within an environment using DevOps and CI/CD
