Sr. PowerBuilder Application Architect

About This Role

The Senior PowerBuilder Application Architect will provide architectural leadership and hands-on development for enterprise insurance compliance applications, supporting ongoing enhancements and maintenance in a legacy systems environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
• Create technical specifications, process flows, and data flow diagrams
• Architect, design, develop, test, and implement application enhancements
• Define and enforce application architecture and coding standards
• Review code and testing results produced by development teams
• Design and maintain database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and indexes
• Coordinate and execute Unit, System, and Stress Testing
• Provide day-to-day production support and resolve application issues
• Implement business-requested changes and system improvements
• Ensure clear documentation and effective knowledge transfer to technical teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in PowerBuilder application development and architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with PowerBuilder (v10.5 preferred)
• Extensive experience with SQL and database design
• Proven expertise designing and supporting multi-tier enterprise applications
• Experience working within structured Project Management methodologies
• Strong communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in PowerBuilder application development and architecture
