Sr Live Solution Architect, Live Streaming

About This Role

This role will shape the future of entertainment by working with content providers, streaming technology partners, and broadcast networks to integrate live sports, music, news, and television channels onto Prime Video.

Responsibilities

• Work with video content providers, video streaming technology partners, and broadcast networks for integration of live sports, music, news, and live television channels onto Prime Video
• Develop strong technical partnership with live broadcasters, cable networks, live media solution providers, AWS and Prime Video engineering teams
• Design and improve the specifications and workflows for acquisition and ingestion of live video content
• Drive large scale innovation in the live video space at Prime Video
• Represent Prime Video to the wider digital video industry
• Contribute to working groups and help define future live broadcast standards

Requirements

• 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies including Live video ingestion and/or distribution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

Nice to Have

• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
• Experience working at a TV Network, broadcaster, or an online streaming platform, specializing in digital video delivery or streaming media technologies
