The Sr Compliance Advisory Manager will provide compliance advisory oversight for the Bank's Personal Lending Products, identifying, assessing, and managing compliance risks. This role supports the full product lifecycle, partnering with business leaders to execute the Bank's compliance risk management framework.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assessment of all regulatory risks and controls related to lending products, including identifying gaps in controls and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in discussions with senior management on strategic priorities, risk assessments, regulatory change management, and other compliance-related topics.
- Develop and maintain policies, standards, and other documented measures for regulatory compliance related to lending operations.
- Work with business leaders to socialize lending compliance principles and practices and assist with developing procedures, systems, and processes.
- Coordinate with Regulatory Change Management to identify new or changing laws, regulations, and guidance related to lending product compliance.
- Prepare, deliver, and effectively communicate analysis and reporting regarding lending compliance to oversight committees and management.
- Collaborate with Testing and Monitoring Teams to establish strategies and protocols to assess and measure compliance.
- Ensure material compliance issues related to lending products are recorded, tracked, and reported for timely resolution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of banking or financial services experience, primarily in compliance, risk management, and/or audit
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of direct experience in lending compliance with a focus on consumer credit
- Proficient in consumer compliance and consumer protection regulations (ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, FCRA, MLA/SCRA, TCPA, GLBA, EFTA, ESIGN)
- Strong working knowledge of consumer protection laws and associated risks
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence decisions
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to rapid change
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Self-starter with ability to think independently
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Desire and ability to quickly learn LendingClub’s business model, technology capabilities, and evolving regulatory environment
Qualifications
- bachelorachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of banking or financial services experience, primarily in compliance, risk management, and/or audit, with 3+ years direct experience in lending compliance focusing on consumer credit.
Nice to Have
- Professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations and compliance audits, including developing, tracking, and executing timely corrective actions
