Sr. Commercial Loan Credit Analyst

About This Role

Analyze commercial credit requests, assist with credit approval recommendations, and manage financial statement spreading and cash flow calculations to support commercial loan officers and ensure proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Spread and analyze personal and business financial information and entity ownership structures to determine creditworthiness. Recommend loan structures and terms to loan officers.
• Prepare Credit Approval Documents, including financial spreadsheets, cash flow analysis, global cash flow, and RMA industry analysis.
• Underwrite renewals, modifications, and extensions of existing credits.
• Ensure all credit files include proper documentation like current financial statements and agency reports.
• Prepare letter requests for updated financial statements and tax returns and maintain a tickler system.
• Assist Loan Officers in preparing letters of interest and loan commitment letters.
• Assist Loan Officers with portfolio monitoring activities, including annual loan reviews and problem loan reports.
• Supervise and assist other members of the credit analyst team in the absence of the Commercial Credit Analyst Manager.
• Process daily commercial credit transactions, including answering calls, performing initial credit analysis, and preparing documentation.
• Assist Commercial Loan Processors in ordering appraisal and environmental reports.

Requirements

• Ability to perform financial statement and tax return analysis on various sized entities
• Proficiency with standard office equipment, MS Office, Outlook, and commercial lending platforms
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workflow to provide a high level of member service

Qualifications

• Four (4) year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) or more years of similar or related commercial credit analysis experience preferred.
