This is a hands-on role for a dependable, hard-working individual to join a sports turf management team. Key responsibilities include applying turf products, operating equipment, and leading small labor crews for sports field maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers and turf products (training provided)
- Obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator license (company support provided)
- Perform simple irrigation modifications and repairs (training provided)
- Operate forklifts and turf/grounds equipment
- Drive a company truck with a trailer to job sites
- Perform manual labor related to sports field grading and maintenance
- Lead and work alongside small labor crews
- Follow safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a pesticide applicator license
- Basic math skills
- Valid driver’s license; ability to drive a truck with a trailer
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors and perform physical labor
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to step into a crew lead role
