About This Role

Serve as a SpEd Educational Assistant at LaVergne High, reinforcing skills, answering questions, and providing academic feedback to small groups of students under the direction of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities

• Work with small groups of students for the purpose of reinforcing skills, answering questions, and providing constructive academic feedback
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Establish effective schedule and work routines
• Work under the direction of a certified teacher and complete assigned work-related duties

Requirements

• Associates degree or higher OR equivalent of two years of college coursework (48 hours) OR pass the ETS Para-Pro Assessment
• Working computer knowledge
• Multi-tasked oriented
• Team Player
• Ability to work with small groups of students for skill reinforcement, answering questions, and providing academic feedback
• Positive role model for young children
• Excellent attendance
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish effective schedule and work routines
• Ability to work under the direction of a certified teacher and complete assigned work-related duties

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, equivalent of two years of college coursework totaling 48 hours, or pass the Education Testing Service (ETS) Para-Pro Assessment
