This field-based Specialty Representative role is responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics to drive sales performance in the dermatology therapeutic area. The role focuses on managing an assigned territory, building strong customer relationships, and addressing customer needs to maximize sales while prioritizing patient care and operating within ethical guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives to meet or exceed objectives
- Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance
- Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action to close on every sales call
- Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, customer expectations and challenges to build trusted customer relationships
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers
- Continuously build understanding on customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers assigned and identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Ability to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience
- Entry level with at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred in lieu of a bachelor's degree
Nice to Have
- Bachelors degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field
- 5+ years of experience with 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry (in lieu of bachelor's)
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills
- Knowledge of dermatology therapeutic area
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience (physician/account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing)
