Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, and manage an assigned territory to maximize short and long-term sales of dermatology products. Build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs, operating within AbbVie's business code of conduct and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance
- Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, gaining logical calls to action to close sales calls
- Proactively aspire to serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers
- Continuously build understanding on customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market dynamics, and product knowledge
- Share market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to optimize brand strategy
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers and identify/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates
Requirements
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools
- Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Proven track record of success in selling
- Solid presentation skills
- Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to pass HCIR credentialing requirements including background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and specific licenses if required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience
- At least five (5) years of industry experience with three (3) or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred.
Nice to Have
- Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience (physician/account based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing)
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries)
