This role delivers sales performance and executes brand strategy and tactics in the field, manages assigned territory and targeted accounts, builds strong customer relationships, and solves customer needs to maximize sales performance, focusing on patient outcomes and adherence to ethical business practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives to meet or exceed them.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance.
- Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns, and gain logical calls to action to close on every sales call.
- Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted customer relationships.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers.
- Continuously build understanding on customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, and market dynamics.
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers and identify/develop disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Requirements
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience (at least 5 years with 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry) or Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills.
- Ability to identify and adapt quickly to customer style/behavior for selling approach.
- Ability to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- At least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Nice to Have
- Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas (preferred).
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing (preferred).
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).
