This role will support the Institute's Property Administrator to ensure compliance with government property regulations for contracts and subcontracts. It involves working with various stakeholders, coordinating inventories, resolving audit issues, and conducting training sessions.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Institute's Property Administrator to learn all procedures and processes for managing government property and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Interface with senior management, project managers, and Clients to research government property questions and determine the best course of action
- Coordinate accurate annual physical inventories for SwRI's operating divisions and reconcile results to ensure compliance
- Interface with government, internal, and external auditors and effectively resolve any issues to maintain an approved property system
- Conduct periodic training sessions for technical and administrative staff to broaden understanding of property maintenance and prevent systemic issues
- Administer terms of contract provisions related to acquiring, controlling, using, caring for, and disposing of government property
- Prepare specialized reports for government customers in accordance with contractual requirements
- Participate in the development and implementation of tools, processes, and procedures, and review periodically to ensure continued compliance as regulations are updated
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field
- 5-10 years of exceptional communications skills
- Ability to resolve issues, ask follow on questions, and report to management
- Attention to detail, accurate reporting, information retention, and the ability to multi-task
- Valid/clear driver's license
- US Citizen
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field
- 5-10 years of exceptional communications skills and a willingness to learn and dig in to resolve issues
Nice to Have
- Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA)
- Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM)
- Prior experience with government property and government contracts
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
