Specialist, Quality Engineer - TOSCA

About This Role

This Quality Engineer role focuses on designing and implementing robust testing strategies, enhancing regression suites using TOSCA, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery for the Agency Licensing and Anaplan platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust testing strategies for applications with complex integrations
• Enhance and maintain regression suites using TOSCA
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure high-quality delivery
• Champion best practices and mentor junior engineers
• Carry out procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements
• Analyze and review moderate requirements, user stories and technical work products to create automation
• Plan for the proper mix of manual, automated, and exploratory testing methods
• Use appropriate quality engineering tools to define test data management, test automation, security/vulnerability, performance, and regression testing needs
• Validate test results, record and research defects
• Prioritize, define, and manage defect reporting and resolution

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with using test optimization and automation processes and tools
• Demonstrated experience in testing for agile teams including planning, test plan creation, maintenance and execution
• Good understanding of test automation and optimization throughout a stack and the tools to support
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and set priorities

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred
• Four or more years of experience with using test optimization and automation processes and tools, with demonstrated experience in testing for agile teams.

Nice to Have

• Expertise in TOSCA automation and Postman
• Working knowledge of SQL and JMeter
• Experience defining test strategies for integrated applications
• Experience in coaching and mentoring offshore associates
• Familiarity with Vertafore, Anaplan or other CRM tools and NW business processes
• Experience testing Mainframe/DB2 applications, ETL, APIs
• Insurance/financial services industry knowledge
