Special Education Teacher

About This Role

Support K-12 students in a self-contained classroom setting by providing individualized instruction. Manage a diverse caseload and collaborate with staff to implement IEPs, fostering academic and social-emotional growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of K-12 students in a self-contained classroom
• Manage and support a caseload of 6-8 students with diverse learning requirements and disabilities
• Collaborate with educational staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth

Requirements

• Valid Minnesota licenses in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
• Experience working with diverse K-12 students in special education settings
• Ability to manage a self-contained classroom and tailor instruction to meet varied learning needs

Nice to Have

• Tier 3 & 4 licensure preferred
