About This Role

Serve K12 students as a Special Education Teacher in a virtual environment. This contract position focuses on writing and monitoring IEPs, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with special education laws.

Responsibilities

  • Write, implement, and monitor IEPs utilizing NHSEIS
  • Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers through platforms such as Canvas and Zoom
  • Use data tools and behavior-tracking systems like Panorama to monitor student progress
  • Ensure compliance with federal (IDEA), state, and local special education laws
  • Assess and support students with disabilities, including those with behavioral and affective disorders
  • Provide positive behavioral supports in individual and group settings
  • Conduct observations and prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors
  • Work effectively with administrators, colleagues, families, and community members
  • Maintain strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Requirements

  • New Hampshire state certification requirements for special education
  • Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager/SPED teacher
  • Familiarity with the principles and practices of effective instruction and behavioral support
  • Ability to collaborate in a virtual environment using multiple digital platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to student success
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager/SPED teacher is essential.
