About This Role

Plan, organize, and implement an instructional program for students with special needs, fostering their academic potential and love of learning. Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that address diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds while managing classroom behavior effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment
• Design and implement appropriate instruction of content area(s) assigned in with the school standards, curriculum, and student needs
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that maximize student engagement and learning
• Utilize a variety of teaching practices and methodologies that reflect diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
• Attend department, school, district and parent meetings
• Participate in district and campus staff development and serve on staff committees
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to use effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
