Special Education Ancillary Educational Assistant

About This Role

The SpEd. Ancillary Educational Assistant will support students in small groups, reinforce skills, provide academic feedback, and serve as a positive role model. This role works full-time under the direction of a certified teacher at Simon Springs Community School.

Responsibilities

• Work with small groups of students for the purpose of reinforcing skills, answering questions, providing constructive academic feedback
• Serve as a positive role model for young children
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Establish effective schedule and work routines
• Complete assigned work-related duties under the direction of a certified teacher

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher; OR equivalent of two years of college coursework totaling 48 hours at an accredited institution of higher learning; OR pass the Education Testing Service (ETS) Para-Pro Assessment
• Working computer knowledge
• Multi-tasked oriented, Firm, Team Player
• Excellent attendance
• Able to follow oral and written instructions
• Able to work under the direction of a certified teacher

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher, OR two years of college coursework (48 hours), OR pass the ETS Para-Pro Assessment
