About This Role

Lead the Italian specialty kitchen at a premier resort, preparing authentic and exquisite Italian dishes. Collaborate on seasonal menu development and mentor kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards.

Responsibilities

  • Showcase expertise in Italian cuisine, including regional dishes, traditional techniques, and modern interpretations of classic Italian recipes.
  • Lead the Italian specialty kitchen in the preparation and presentation of authentic Italian dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality, flavor, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop seasonal Italian menus that showcase the best of Italian ingredients, flavors, and culinary traditions.
  • Mentor and train kitchen staff in Italian cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and plating presentations.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, cost management, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in Italian cuisine
  • 2-3 years in a leadership role as a Sous Chef or similar specializing in Italian cuisine
  • Proficiency in a wide range of Italian dishes, ingredients, flavors, and cooking methods
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Genuine passion for Italian cuisine

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Italian cuisine, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role as a Sous Chef or similar position specializing in Italian cuisine.
