Drive product development and commercialization for Calvin Klein's outerwear category, ensuring products meet quality, aesthetic, and price requirements. Manage strategic style allocation, lead product engineering efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Establish consistent communication with hub teams/vendors regarding proper sample execution and costing
- Drive pre-season product development, handle flash costing, and identify margin risks proactively
- Strategically allocate styles to support vendor strategy, product elevation, and cost savings
- Lead product engineering efforts to achieve target costs while maintaining design integrity
- Foster continuous communication with design partners for collaboration and alignment
- Maintain and hit all calendar milestones
- Build and maintain accurate cost records, challenging where appropriate using product knowledge and history
- Handle submits and approval processes
- Support the Director in achieving department goals
- Facilitate and participate in seasonal product reviews to evaluate sample execution and alignment to tech pack requirements
Requirements
- 5-10 years’ experience in Outerwear Product Development / Production
- Firm understanding of Outerwear manufacturing (custom classification/garment structure/raw material property)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in working with both development and production teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to meet team deadlines
- Flexible and Adaptable to change
- Solution Oriented
- Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- 5-10 years’ experience in Outerwear Product Development / Production
Nice to Have
- Product development, garment pattern or manufacturing-related background
- Knowledge of PLM
- Knowledge of Entefy
