Solutions Architect - Media/Broadcast Enterprise Systems

About This Role

This role involves architecting, designing, and documenting end-to-end enterprise solutions for broadcast and media facilities, working between clients, account managers, R&D engineers, and management. The successful candidate will translate client requirements into Evertz hardware, software, and services, acting as a technical authority throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the account manager to define and document the scope
• Provide initial solutions to clients with Evertz equipment selection & systems design, refining to final quotation and supporting documentation
• Work with internal resources and the client to provide client demonstrations and/or documentation as proof of concept system
• Work collaboratively with internal, client and third-party teams to understand current and future business and technical requirements
• Lead proposal creation and refinement, taking ownership to produce accurate documentation for bid set
• Identify and manage project risks, state assumptions clearly, and work with clients and internal resources to mitigate risks
• Create clear and well-thought-out design packages, gap analyses, functional specifications, and budgets
• Identify new customers and build relationships while maintaining the existing customer base
• Act as the technical authority throughout the design, pre-commissioning, onsite commissioning, training and sustaining engineering phases
• Travel as required to client sites

Requirements

• Experience in designing, documenting and sustaining full life cycle end-to-end enterprise-wide client facing projects
• Experience working with file-based broadcast, production, post-production, non-linear distribution, automated transcoding and quality control, business/traffic systems type deployments and workflows
• Electronics engineering (or similar) education
• Familiar with BXF and industry standard traffic solutions
• 3 or more years experience deploying file based work flow solutions
• Experience with Broadcast IT with network infrastructure
• Understanding in applications integration with business systems via the use of XML as the interchange format
• Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types
• Problem-solving and strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Electronics engineering (or similar) education
• 3 or more years experience deploying file-based workflow solutions
