Software Engineering Intern

About This Role

This role will support the design, development, and maintenance of web and mobile applications across the full technology stack. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions and gain hands-on experience with production systems and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to develop new features and enhance existing functionality
• Build and maintain front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and responsive design principles
• Develop backend services, APIs, and data models that support scalable and secure applications
• Contribute to mobile application development (iOS, Android, or cross-platform) by implementing features, resolving defects, and improving performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in alignment with team standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack to improve reliability and performance
• Learn and apply software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#
• Familiarity with web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs
• Basic experience with a modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
• Exposure to mobile application development (e.g., iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, or similar)
• Understanding of core software development concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Experience using Git or another version control system
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with backend frameworks such as Node.js, Spring Boot, .NET, or Django
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with mobile app deployment or app store submission processes
• Knowledge of unit testing or automated testing frameworks
• Personal projects, open-source contributions, or prior internship experience
