Software Architect

About This Role

This is a senior individual contributor role for a Technical Architect to modernize and scale a critical enterprise platform at a leading global bank. You will define technical direction, accelerate delivery, and solve complex engineering problems across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve architecture for large-scale, distributed platforms
• Write high-quality, production code in Java (Spring Boot)
• Lead modernization, re-architecture, scaling, and greenfield initiatives
• Build prototypes and reference implementations that set engineering standards
• Partner with product, platform, and business teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Present architectural designs and influence platform-wide technical decisions
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership and best practices

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with strong architectural depth
• Expertise in Java, SQL, REST APIs, streaming APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, containers, and NoSQL
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, resiliency, and security
• Experience with enterprise platforms and complex environments
• Clear communicator who can influence across teams

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with strong architectural depth

Nice to Have

• Exposure to emerging technologies, including GenAI
