The Social Media Intern will assist with research, content creation, campaign planning and implementation, and monitoring social media platforms for SunButter and Pecking Order. This role aims to increase brand awareness, attract new followers, and engage the current audience by staying informed on trends and topics.
Responsibilities
- Assist with creating monthly social content calendars coordinated with campaign initiatives
- Engage daily across all social platforms through liking, commenting, and chatting
- Write effective copy for social content
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Report on social media analytics
- Create TikTok organic content
- Learn to use the Tagger Influencer Management platform
- Approve influencer content and catalog deliverables
- Oversee product requests for influencers
- Explore and outreach to potential influencers within target markets
- Assist with discovery, outreach, and approval of brands for giveaways and collaborations
- Perform miscellaneous creative tasks such as business card design or file conversion
- Learn to use the Asana platform for team collaboration and project tracking
- Support Red River Commodities with branding and creative tasks
Requirements
- Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience
- Great organizational skills
- Proficient knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok and other social media best practices
- High attention to detail
- Creative mindset with problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated and goal oriented
- Time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) experience
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) experience
- Video editing experience
- Tradeshow attendance and assisting with tradeshow setup experience
