Social Media & Community Manager

About This Role

Cooltura is seeking a Social Media & Community Manager to manage clients' daily social channels, engage with online communities, and help define brand interactions online. This role involves active participation in real-time internet culture while maintaining strategic brand presence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and publish content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and other platforms as needed
• Actively engage with online communities through comments, DMs, replies, and real-time interactions
• Monitor trends, memes, and cultural moments, flagging opportunities for authentic brand participation
• Collaborate with strategists, creatives, and designers to execute campaigns
• Write on-brand captions, replies, and community responses
• Track performance, sentiment, and community feedback, sharing insights with the team
• Support launches, activations, and social campaigns from planning through execution
• Help maintain each brand’s voice, tone, and community guidelines
• Utilize AI tools for efficient social media and community management

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience managing social media and/or online communities
• Deep understanding of social platforms, internet culture, and online community behavior
• Strong writing skills with an ear for tone, humor, and cultural nuance
• Comfortable engaging in real time and making judgment calls on behalf of brands
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple accounts and deadlines
• Based in NYC and excited to be part of an in-person creative environment
• AI-savvy

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience managing social media and/or online communities

• Agency experience
• Experience working with lifestyle, culture, fashion, and retail brands
• Familiarity with AI, social analytics tools, and reporting
